MacEwen Court Represented at London finals

MacEwen Court, one of Cairn Housing Association's sheltered developments in Inverness, has been selected as a finalist in EAC's Housing for Older People Awards.

Mr George Rodger a tenant at McEwen Court won a draw to decide who would attend the Awards Ceremony at Lords Cricket Ground in London on 4th February. Mr Rodger will be accompanied by Lorraine Easson, MacEwen Court's Housing Officer and Nicola Wotherspoon, Service Development Assistant.

Tenants at MacEwen Court nominated their development as part of a consultation process.  The nomination process attracted 540 group entries with only 6% obtaining nominations for one of the 32 awards.

Resident groups from Lochbrae Court and Calum MacDonald Court also took part in this consultation each winning a £100 raffle prize.

EAC or The Elderly Accommodation Counsel is a national charity that aims to help older people and their families make informed choices about meeting their housing and care needs.
