Repairs and Maintenance Service in Rented Properties

How do I report a repair?

Click here for the telephone numbers you need to call to report a repair.

Who pays?

Normally we will pay for the repair, but if it is not our responsibility or has been caused by negligence on your part, you will be recharged for the repair.  Details of repair responsibilities and types of repair can be found in our Tenants' Handbook.

How long?

This depends on the type of repair.  Our aims are:

Routine: 20 days
Urgent: 2 days
Emergency: initial response 2 hours, with follow up within 1day

Right to Repair

Certain qualifying repairs are subject to compensation if not completed in time. Click on the link to download our leaflet for further details. You will be advised when reporting a repair if it ‘qualifies'.

Planned Maintenance and Improvements

From time to time we will carry out major repairs or improvements on your home. You will be told in advance when the work will start, how long it will take and if we will redecorate to make good any damage caused.  Click on the link for more detail.

Alterations and Improvements

Prior to carrying out any alterations or improvements of your own, you must obtain our written permission before you start the work. Improvements made with our agreement may qualify for compensation if you move to another house.
