One of a number of projects we are currently working on in North Lanarkshire, the Tay Street project will provide 19 homes for social rented housing in the Townhead area of Coatbridge. Set within an attractive site our intention is to provide smaller, more manageable homes for existing tenants in the area. We are working with Bracewell Stirling Architects on this project and hope to start works in the second quarter of 2007.

Cairn Housing Association and O'Brien Homes have commenced work on site at Strachur Wharf in the Lambhill area of Glasgow.
In what promises to be an attractive development situated alongside the Forth and Clyde Canal, Cairn Housing Association expects the 41 homes to be completed in early 2008. Included in the mix of flats and family homes are 12 units that will be available to purchase through the Homestake scheme.
Walter Clarkson, Executive Director of Development & Asset Management, said: "We are delighted to start work on this project with O'Brien Homes and this latest development is just the start of what promises to be a very busy 2007 for the Association.
"In addition to 29 new homes for affordable rent, a further 12 homes will be available for people on low incomes to purchase through the Homestake scheme.
"We are confident that the diverse range of housing will meet an urgent need for affordable social rented housing in the area."

On 27 November 2006, the Association took handover of 20 properties (13 for rent and 7 for Homestake) at Milton of Leys, which boasts fantastic views of the Moray Firth.
As part of a larger development currently being constructed by Tulloch Homes Express Ltd, the properties offer 2, 3 & 4-bedroom flats and houses in a much sought after part of the city.

A high-quality development produced by Tulloch Homes Express Ltd, offering 36, 2-bedroom flats for sale through Homestake. The properties are finished to a high specification and include washer/dryers, fitted oven and gas hob and over-bath showers as standard.
The first 12 flats were handed over on 22 January 2007 with a further 12 programmed for 29 January 2007. The final 12 will follow shortly thereafter.

We are working with a Women’s Aid group in Glasgow and John Gilbert Architects to develop and build a new, custom made refuge for women and children fleeing domestic abuse. The refuge, due to be completed in early 2008, will comprise 8 self-contained flats and generous communal facilities including a lounge, teenagers room, crèche, health suite, offices and interview / counselling rooms.
This latest partnership with a Scottish Women’s Aid group promises to deliver a vital and comprehensive resource to supporting vulnerable women and children.

Cairn Housing Association have provided Melville Housing Association with development agent support over a number of years to enable them to deliver their development programme in Midlothian.
Having recently completed projects in Dalkeith and Loanhead, we are currently working with Melville on projects in Dalkeith and Gorebridge, which includes 8 properties which will be available for purchase by people on low incomes through the Homestake scheme.
