Meeting Local Housing Need - Nationwide

Map of Cairn Sites

Cairn Housing Association has been in existence for twenty-nine years and has over 2,700 properties under management throughout Scotland. It has offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness, Coatbridge and Thurso; its portfolio embraces sheltered and amenity housing, general and supported needs accommodation and shared ownership properties.

Cairn HA has a current insured asset value in excess of £140m. This puts it in a strong position to secure substantial private finance which, in turn, enables it to consider projects at relatively low subsidy levels.

Each development opportunity is carefully considered ensuring a quality management and maintenance service can be delivered at affordable rents.

Cairn HA has the ability to invest in future housing projects by raising private and public investment.

The Association appreciates that best value includes factors other than maximising private investment. Cairn HA believes that its assets - its national spread combined with local service delivery, the expertise of its Committee of Management and the professionalism of its Staff - enables it to fulfil this expectation to the satisfaction of all partners.

Committee of Management

Cairn HA is a non-profit distributing organisation run on a voluntary basis by a Committee of Management who ensure that the Association operates in a business like manner. Skills which the individual members contribute range from Architecture and Housing Management to Business Management, Accountancy and Law.
