Brian qualified as a town planner and surveyor and worked for a number of Scottish local planning authorities latterly at senior level between 1970 and 1982. He then joined the housing association sector with Cleghorn HA in Dundee and went on to hold Directorships with Loreburn, Bield and Home in Scotland HAs as well as two years
experience in the private housing sector.
His major experience and expertise is in the corporate and organisational development of housing associations. His planning background is central to this, and he has worked in a wide variety of organisational contexts in associations from small community based to UK wide groups. |

Irene has worked in housing for over 20 years for employers ranging from Local Authority, Scottish Special HA/Scottish Homes (now known as Communities Scotland) and at Cairn Housing Association. She has extensive experience of housing management, estate regeneration and programme management.
Irene worked as Project Manager on 11 phases of a major estate regeneration exercise which included rehabilitation, conversion and new build - all involving intensive community consultation and participation. As an active Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Housing and past Chair of the Scottish Branch, she is aware of shifts in housing policy and practice and the necessity to adopt responsive and innovative solutions to the demands within the housing market. |

After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, Jacks previous commercial accounting background embraced being Company Secretary in an engineering PLC and Financial Controller in the retail sector. This has been to the benefit of the Association in the stock transfer process. Jack has been successful in obtaining the best possible rates in relation to private funding and continues to work closely with private lenders.
Jack appreciates that the Associations financial strength puts Cairn HA in a strong position to take advantage of new initiatives to enable the organisation to remain as one of the leading associations providing affordable social housing in Scotland. |

| Walter
Clarkson ACMI - Executive Director of Development and Asset Management |

Walter started his career with the Housing Corporation
in Scotland/Scottish Homes (now known as Communities Scotland) and spent
nine years with the agency.
At Gowrie Housing Association, Dundee, Walter acted as Development Agent
for Vale of Duntrune Community Housing Association on Phases I and II
of the regeneration of the Whitfield area of Dundee. Walter has worked on Cairn HA's development programme since 1991 and has enjoyed many development successes through HAG competitions, NHP and Domestic Abuse Service Funding and a series of partnering arrangements with developers/local authorities. |
