This section gives you information on the health of our business. There is a lot of financial jargon, which we have tried to simplify as much as we can, however if you would like more explanation on any of these figures please get in touch.
Average cost per property
|Operating margin||15.1%||This is a measurement of what money we have left over after paying for all of our costs.||The industry average is 18.7%. Our figure is slightly lower due to the amount we are investing in our properties.|
|Interest Cover||130%||This measures how well we can pay interest on our debt.||The bank requires 110% or higher so this is decent figure.|
|Gearing||48%||This is the proportion of borrowing in relation to the size of our asset base.||We want this figure to be as low as possible. The bank requires us to be less than 70%, which we are meeting comfortably.|
|Overheads as a percentage of adjusted turnover||37%||This shows the proportion of turnover which is require to pay for overhead costs.||This figure has reduced significantly from previous years as we continue to manage and reduce our overhead costs.|
