Average number of days to re-let properties
When a property is empty (void) we are unable to receive income for that property through rent and service charges. This means we have less money to spend on improving services and people’s homes. This is why it is important for us to re-let properties in the shortest time possible. Our aim is to re-let all properties within 14 days and this indicator tracks our average re-let time throughout the year.
Figures from January 2019.
There was a significant drop in performance here for January. Our results have been effected particularly by the successful letting of two out-of-management studio flats in Nigel Henderson Court and one in MacEwan Court. In addition to this, a number of flats with significant void days were let in Falconer Court and Swan Court. Our performance excluding the above was 29 days and year to date would have been 36 days.
