In 2016 we have celebrated our 25th anniversary as an independent Scottish organisation. Cairn has changed beyond recognition over the last two decades. We were originally the Royal British Legion Housing Association, before becoming an independent Scottish organisation in 1990 and later changing our name to Cairn Housing Association.
From our roots of providing sheltered housing to ex-services personnel and their families we’ve trebled in size and now provide general needs housing throughout Scotland, as well as specialist housing leased to groups like Autism Initiatives or Women’s Aid.
To celebrate our 25th anniversary celebrations our Community Fund is available to help tenants and community groups across Scotland with projects and events that will help make their neighbourhoods great places to live.
At our 25th AGM we premiered a short film showcasing some of the amazing projects we have supported over the last year. Grab your popcorn and enjoy!
