We funded the Blackthorn Allotments Association in Inverness to create community allotments in the Culduthel area of the city. The site has been acquired on a 10 year lease from a local landowner and planning permission has been granted for 40 allotment plots. There will also be community advice events and seasonal produce events.
The impact will be that residents will be more health aware, have increased confidence, better physical and mental wellbeing and an increased sense of belonging to a community.
