Located south of the Black Isle, Munlochy is a small village lying at the head of narrow Munlochy Bay. Munlochy is a picturesque town with local amenities and independent boutiques, with larger supermarkets and retail parks found in nearby Inverness. There is a local primary school, with Fortrose Academy serving as the main catchment secondary school. There is a regular bus service and the nearest railway station is in Inverness.
