Families from across Irvine came together for a day of fun, activities and community spirit at our annual fun day, held at Redburn Community Centre.
The free event welcomed tenants and local residents for an afternoon packed with entertainment and activities, including a bouncy castle, face painting, a disco, giant games, inflatable axe throwing and food for everyone to enjoy.
Held during the recent spell of warm weather, the event was blessed with sunshine, helping to create a fantastic atmosphere for everyone who attended.
Alongside the family activities, a number of partner organisations were on hand throughout the day to offer advice and support on a range of topics including energy, money, health and wellbeing. Their presence gave attendees the opportunity to access practical information and speak to organisations that can provide support throughout the year.
Audrey Simpson, Chief Executive of Cairn Housing Association, said:
“Our annual fun day is a fantastic opportunity to bring people together, strengthen community connections and provide a fun day out for our tenants and their families.
“We’re grateful to everyone who came along, as well as the partner organisations who gave their time to support the event. Their advice and expertise added real value, helping to make it a great day for the whole community.”
We would like to thank all the partner organisations who attended and helped make the event such a success. Their support played an important role in connecting residents with valuable services and information, while contributing to the welcoming atmosphere enjoyed throughout the day.
The annual fun day forms part of our ongoing commitment to supporting thriving communities by bringing people together, strengthening communities and helping tenants access the advice and support they need.
