Running for four years now, the Cairn Cup is a youth football tournament in Inverness and one of our favourite events in the Cairn Calendar. In an age of computers, it’s great to sponsor an event which promotes exercise and the healthy lifestyle of children.
The Cup has grown in size to accommodate over 1000 players and parents – with bouncy castles, face painters and a BBQ for those not playing football. Perfect weather accompanied too, the Sun was shining for the whole day.
The participants of the tournament had a brilliantly competitive but sportsmanship-like attitude and because of it, a lot of fun was had by all – which is why we do it.
