A new housing development at Railton Crescent in Arbroath has been completed, delivering on Cairn’s ambitious five year development programme which is projected to see 400 new homes built across Scotland.
36 affordable new homes, comprised of one, two and three bedrooms, were built in Arbroath by Persimmon Homes. This £4 million development project began in October 2017 and was supported by a grant of £2,225,000 from the Scottish Government.
Cairn has benefitted from a development and management arrangement with Angus Housing Association, which has seen a total of 71 new homes built in an area of Angus with particularly high demand for affordable housing.
Walter Clarkson, Cairn’s Head of Property Services, said “We are delighted to receive handover of these new homes, which will be a great addition to Arbroath. This is the latest project in our five year development programme, and with demand for good quality, affordable social housing continuing to grow, our development programme is going some way to meeting the needs of our communities.”
