What is extra care housing?
Extra care housing provides our highest level of assisted living. Cairn offers one extra care housing development, situated at Madelvic Square in Edinburgh. The aim of this development is to meet the needs of older people who are in need of extra care, but not at the level a care home would provide. Tenants in our Madelvic property live independently in their own flat with a care package provided that is tailored to the individuals wants and needs. 24 hours a day staff are on site to help residents by providing services such as medication administration, personal care and serving nutritious meals in a communal dining area.
