Cairn is led by an experienced Board that has overall responsibility for governance and strategic direction. Following a recent tenant ballot, and subject to necessary consents, ANCHO will join Cairn HA to form a constitutional partnership in September 2018. As part of our succession planning, we are seeking to recruit new Members who have a real desire and interest in helping our ambitious organisation achieve its aims and objectives and contribute towards business growth and service excellence. As a voluntary position it will not be paid, but travel and other expenses for attendance at meetings can be claimed. Consideration of options for payment will be carried out during 2019. You will need to commit to attending up to 9 meetings per year (currently daytime and mostly in Edinburgh, but also in Bellshill and Inverness). As part of our succession and development approach we encourage, support and expect Board members to commit to personal development through training, seminars and conferences or study visits.
We welcome interest from candidates from a wide range of backgrounds but we would be particularly keen to hear from you if you have experience in:-
- Finance (preferably ICAS part or fully qualified)
- Business/professional background
We are committed to equality and diversity and welcome approaches from all sections of the community. We would particularly welcome applications from women with the relevant skills and experience.
If you wish to discuss this matter informally with Jason MacGilp, Chief Executive, or for further details and an Application Pack please contact: Carolyn Owens, Governance Services Manager, on 0800 990 3405, email carolyn.owens@cairnha.com or write to us at Cairn Housing Association, Bellevue House, 22 Hopetoun Street, Edinburgh, EH7 4GH.
Closing date for applications is Friday 20 July 2018. It is anticipated that interviews will take place on Thursday 26 or Friday 27 July 2018.
