The Cairn Housing Group Staff Awards recognise the great achievements of our team, and in particular, those who live and breathe our values in pursuit of great services to our tenants and other customers. Nominations for our annual awards are made by colleagues across Cairn Housing Group and we convened a staff panel to review their nominations and pick out the best candidates for this special recognition.
At our Annual General Meeting, Jason MacGilp, Group Chief Executive, announced the 2019 award winners.

Winner: Samantha Downie
Since taking on the new Income Management Assistant role Sam has gone above and beyond to give our customers an enhanced service. Sam has not only made it her priority to learn the responsibilities of her new post but she has worked professionally to meet deadlines, dedicating her time around month end processes and investing time and effort in training other staff to assist with this role. Sam has been in the job such a short time but has already made a huge difference to processing times meaning that the tenants’ rent payments hit their rent account quicker and therefore giving our tenants (and staff) more accurate information on their balances. Sam has taken great pride in her job and has been instrumental in identifying areas for improvement.
