We’ve received some government funding to pay Think Energy to carry out insulation surveys to a limited number of our properties. Where properties are found to potentially benefit from insulation, Think Energy are authorised to carry out those works. They’ve also been asked to report back to Cairn where a property might benefit from additional measures to improve energy efficiency standards, such as PV solar panels, improved heating controls, alternative heating or external wall insulation.
The surveys will take about 30 minutes and these surveys will help us meet the EESSH (Energy Efficiency Standard for Social Housing) by the end of 2020 and the enhanced EESSH2 standard by 2032.
